Can you help me?

Hi Everyone,

A Mom wrote to me who has an autistic child. She wants to know of any information on Autism from a Catholic perspective or about other Catholics who have dealings with Autism. I remember coming across a very nice blog or two of parents with Autistic children. Would you please leave a comment for me on this? It will be great to direct this Mom. Thanks so much in advance for your help.

I once wrote an article about Autism that can be found here if anyone is interested. Keep in mind that I wrote it a few years back and I'm sure there is more current research information available.

Thanks for your help!
God bless!

My brother's little girl is Autistic, so I'll call him tonight and see if he and his wife know of any good sites.

Hi Donna-Marie, I have an autistic child, Ryan who is twelve. I write about him a lot on my blog http://maryellenb.typepad.com and on a brand new column at www.catholicmom.com/barrett. The Catholic Mom site will have a sidebar of resources soon. Please feel free to share my email address with the lady who needs some info, if I can be any help I'd be delighted.

I am a Catholic mother who lives in Australia. Four of my five children were born on the autism spectrum.

For several years I have been running a Novena to St Philomena for the healing of autism and now a priest of Lourdes, France, is helping with this by praying for all the people who are enrolled in the novena, at the grotto of Our Lady at Lourdes.

It is at the following link on my family website:

http://www.homestead.com/missionbell/novenaforautisticchildren.html

Greetings and prayers for all your intentions,

Mary Ann

The novena is held twice every month from: the 1st to the 9th of the Month and also from the 10th to the 18th of the month.

Each person (who has autism or an autism related condition) whose name is sent to be included in this novena will be prayed for regularly by a priest of Lourdes, France at the grotto of Our Lady. Only the first name of the person is needed for the purpose of this novena. Everyone is invited to send
names: parents, grandparents, teachers, doctors, aunties, friends, therapists etc.

Hi Mary Ann,

Thank you so very much for responding to this request for help for parents with autistic children. Your novena sounds so beautiful and to be said at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes is fantastic!

Thank you for your help, I'll pass on the information.

God bless,
Donna

Hi Donna-Marie,
Thank you for posting the information on the autism novena.

I noticed that the software has shortened the web page address, so I prepared another posting and then previewed it. The problem occurred again.

People who are interested in the novena can contact me at the following email address:

catacomb1@optusnet.com.au

and request the autism novena webpage link. Thank you.
Greetings and prayers for all your intentions,
Mary Ann
P.S. The subject heading for the email should be: request for autism novena link.
