Motherhood is truly a vocation. Children are a precious gift from God. Scripture tells us that children are a blessing and debt is a curse, but somehow in our society, children have been seen to be a curse and people apply to be in debt.

Society has also told us that the most noble of all professions, motherhood, is somehow one of which to be ashamed, that it is not fulfilling or using our "full potential." Motherhood is the most incredible, exhilirating and exhausting journey I have ever been on in my life. It has brought me closer to the Lord and to our Blessed Mother. Look to our Lady-- the most perfect of all mothers-- was she ashamed of her station in life? Was she not "being all she could be?" If God Himself had a mother, how can I not be incredibly blessed that he allowed me to be one? To have something in common with the Mother of my Savior?

I would be honored, Donna-Marie, to be entered into the contest to win your book!

God bless you, my friend!
