With Mother's Day fast approaching...
With Mother's Day fast approaching, my heart goes out the the countless mothers who have lost babies to the terrible pain of miscarriage. Tomorrow, when I stand with our congregation of mothers at Mass for a blessing and to celebrate motherhood, I will be standing for ALL mothers - those with living children and those with children who have been whisked away what seems like far too soon, but by God's grace have gone into the arms of Jesus and Mary.
Please hold the mothers of miscarried babies in a special place in your hearts with prayer. These mothers feel a sword of sorrow piercing their hearts and they need our love and understanding. They certainly are mothers too even though they do not have children here on earth to hold. Their moment of glorious joy will arrive the day they are reunited in Heaven with their miscarried children.
I await seeing my three miscarried babies there.
God bless all mothers! Many women are spiritual mothers and even though they are not biological mothers or adoptive mothers, they mother others with their God-given gifts. Let's turn to the Mother of all - our Blessed Mother, seeking her intercession and celebrating all women tomorrow!

Embracing your Motherhood
Happy Easter!
How was your Easter celebration? I hope it was grace-filled and brimming with JOY as well.
I am updating you on the progress of my book "Embracing Motherhood." It's all finished and off to the publisher. After going through the proper channels and process it will be all set to be released by January of 2012. I pray that it is a book that will inspire the hearts of Moms all over the world, offering encouragement and advice to get through the many challenges in a holy vocation. Feel free to pass the word about my new upcoming book. I'll be thinking of a contest to do in the near future to offer you the opportunity to win autographed copies of the book. So, stay tuned.

I'm here!
I have been extremely busy with events and work. Sadly, I have not had time to post here on this blog very much, or at least as I would want to. But I am here now!
I do want to let you know though that I have good news...My very newest book which will probably be titled "Embracing Motherhood" and will be released early next year by Servant Books. It will speak of the joys and challenges in a holy vocation and also devote some time discussing some really tough issues that some mothers face. So, I hope you stay tuned for that.
I am getting to the finish line with the writing of this book. I'll keep you posted!

Catholic Moms of North East, Ohio Adoring Our Lord!
Recently Tina O. Keller let me know that her group had completed the study of my book The Domestic Church: Room By Room: A Mother's Study Guide. She said, "Our Catholic Mom's Group just had the finale for our Book Study of The Domestic Church: Room by Room. We loved it! Thank you so much for your inspiration & knowledge! :)"And I would like to share that this group started a beautiful tradition of bringing their children to a weekly hour of Adoration. Specifically, Tina explained:
"Through the imitation of our Blessed Mary, the Mother of our Dear Savior Jesus Christ, we can help each other to grow in the Catholic Faith and become the Mothers that God wants us to be. The Catholic Mom's Group of North East Ohio is a group of Catholic Women (all at different levels in their Catholic Journey) looking for fellowship, encouragement, inspiration, devotions, book studies, play dates, pray dates and friendship! We meet on & off line and offer events with & without our children, as well as fun events for the whole family! This group is for Catholic moms who are looking for support in their role as mother. The Catholic Moms Group of Akron & Surrounding Areas is for mothers who are currently practicing Catholics or those who wish to become so.We participate in a weekly adoration hour. We do split it up with the little ones, and just do Half hour segments. But we always have at least one member of our group at each time segment. We call it "Ultimate Meetup with Jesus" (Our site we use for our calendar and online group is through meetup.com, so we call our activities meetups) We chose to do this to expose our children and teach them about Adoration and learn how to spend time with Jesus. We do it every week and make it fun for them, we close our Adoration hour by singing the "Hail Mary". It's amazing how much a toddlers even enjoy it and look forward to the time with Jesus. My three year old always tells her daddy that we are going to see Jesus at his house & mama Mary. She knows at three that Jesus & Mary Love her. Each week we follow up our Adoration Hour with Lunch & Playing at the Park. Our kids are getting into the routine. We believe it's a great way to teach them to make a Holy Hour and a wonderful way to learn to spend time with Jesus."
What an inspiration these mothers and families are! Perhaps others will want to follow in their footsteps and start their own groups.
